NOTE: The due date for applications has been pushed back to September 29th!
The Teacher Leaders Program (TLP) brings together a select group of educators throughout the school year to learn how to take active leadership roles in their schools, unions and communities. Participating educators develop to collaboration, research, and advocacy skills. They gain an understanding of policy issues and make recommendations to and through their unions.
Through their participation in the TLP, educators participate in the local and national dialogue on education. Educators also develop relationships with local policymakers and community leaders, connect practice, research and policy, and serve as a sounding board and advisory group for union leaders.
There will be an informational meeting held at SPFT on Tuesday, September 12th at 4:30pm for those interested. Applications are due by Friday, September 29th at 5:00pm.
