On Monday 2/26, SPFE will file our intent for our union to strike beginning on Monday, March 11th.
We do not take the decision to strike lightly. However, we strongly feel that this action is necessary if we want to retain our educators in Saint Paul through strong wages and affordable insurance, and continue to build the school communities that our students and their families deserve.
Our Bargaining Team is doing everything in their power to reach a strong settlement with District Management, and has mediation scheduled for Friday, March 1st.
In the days ahead, please pay close attention to information and updates you receive from your Bargaining Team, your building Stewards and Contract Action Team members, and from your SPFE leaders. Working together, and harnessing our collective power, we will fight to make sure our students and educators have the resources they need to succeed.
